Please be informed that as per Central Bank of Liberia (CBL) regulations, effective 1st August 2026, all clearing cheques (cheques drawn on other banks) submitted for deposit must be capable of being successfully read and scanned through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) system.

Any cheque that fails to meet the CBL's Automated Clearing Standards will be returned to the depositor. Where a provisional credit has already been applied to the account, such credit will be reversed immediately.

To ensure timely processing and avoid unnecessary delays, customers are kindly advised to present only cheques with clear, legible, and intact Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) codes. Cheques with damaged, faded, or unreadable MICR lines cannot be processed through the ACH system and will therefore not be accepted for clearing.
