Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom
Board Chairman
Dr. Nduom is a Ghanaian entrepreneur, economist, business consultant and politician with over 43 years’ experience in managing and growing brands.
He is the President and CEO of Groupe Nduom, a conglomerate of over 60 companies, including Coconut Groove Hotels in Elmina, Obuasi, Sakumono and Accra; Yorke Properties; Gold Coast Securities Ltd; First National Savings & Loans Company Ltd; Ghana Growth Fund; Qualtek; IBS LLC (USA); GN TV; Wa FM; Light FM; Today Newspaper; Ghana Premier League Club, Elmina Sharks; among others. The Groupe Nduom CEO employs over 3,000 people in Ghana alone.
Over the years, Dr. Nduom worked as a consultant for clients like Chrysler, Africa Development Bank, Chevron, Ashanti Goldfields Company, Zimbabwe Social Security Authority, Africa Reinsurance, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Commonwealth of Virginia, USA; Securities Exchange Commission, Texaco, Elf Oil and Malawi Oil Company.
He served as Board Chairman of First National Savings & Loans; Ghana Growth Fund Company Ltd., and Deloitte Touche Tohmtsu Africa Region. Dr. Nduom was also a Board Member for Ghana Stock Exchange, Fan Milk Ghana Ltd., Edinaman Secondary School, and Ghana Heritage & Conservation Trust.
He joined the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District in 1979 as a Budget and Management Analyst. In 1981, he joined Deloitte and Touche as an Associate Consultant, rising to become a partner in the Milwaukee office of the firm after five years. In 1992, Dr. Nduom helped establish Deloitte & Touche, West Africa Consulting.
Dr. Nduom started his public service journey with his appointment as Chairman of National Development Planning Commission from 2001 to 2003. He became Member of Parliament for Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem Constituency from 2005 to 2009 and later served as Minister of Economic Planning & Regional Cooperation; Minister of Energy, and Minister of Public Sector Reform from 2001 to 2007.
Dr. Nduom holds a Doctorate Degree in Service Delivery System, Master of Science Degree in Management and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics, all from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, USA.
